Vote By Mail
Vote Por Correo
Almost twenty years ago to vote in the privacy of your home without the interference of the security guards and poll workers who asked if you were an American citizen required a voter to be blind, disabled, or have seven other conditions that would interfere with the ability to vote.
Six years ago, those conditions went away because of the commitment of the Chicano Latino Caucus of the Democratic Party. Immediately the number of “Permanent Absentee Voters” doubled.
Last year I requested that the legislature change the name from absentee to “Mail Ballot”. In the February primary over 42% of all Californians voted by mail!
Latino voters are choosing this method even though there is little if any publicity on how to vote by mail.
I am proud to accept the challenge of the Chair and the appointment as Chair of the Vote by Mail committee of Caucus.
The caucus will achieve the goal of 50% of all Chicano Latino voters voting by mail.
When we achieve that goal, our voices will never again be taken for granted.
If you are ready to accept, the challenge contact me!
