November 18, 2007, Executive Board Breakfast Meeting
Sheraton Hotel, Anaheim, California

The newly elected Chicano Latino Caucus Executive Board met for breakfast meeting, Saturday, November 18, 2007, Anaheim, California.

Members present were Mickie Luna, Vince Luna, Richard Cota, Rafael Nadal, Chris Robles, Placido and Bobbie Salazar, Steve Ybarra and Ray Gonzalez, Cecilia Escamilla Greenwald.

The members set an agenda and focused on the following key goals and objectives:

1. Statewide membership drive to include legislators and local elected officials
2. Appointments crucial to the restructure and support of the Caucus
3. Review and restructure Vice Chair organizational territorial duties
4. Increase visibility of Caucus by creating Caucus website
5. Create Caucus newsletter
6. Hold regional statewide meetings during the CDP E-Board meetings and other meetings as required to restructure the CLC Caucus
7. Seek out other Caucus officers to gain support and strengthen working relationships
8. Look for Teleconference sponsor
9. Revise Chicano Latino Caucus By-Laws
10. Submit resolutions to the Democratic Party to make positive changes to the CLC
11. Create Caucus budget
12. Revise dues structure
13. Organize to participate in State Democratic Convention Immigration Forum
14. Organize young Chicano Latino Committee
15. Design Chicano Latino Caucus membership pin
16. Host a State Democratic Convention Latino Caucus hospitality room

 

The Chair will be contact with all members to schedule board meetings.
